Nostalgic Chair

Built from an old bike, this machine invites viewers to sit and pedal, rotating the sculpture while mechanically playing slow music to create a nostalgic atmosphere. At the center is the artist’s brother’s flip-flop, a personal totem not seen for a long time. The work reflects on how humans invest objects with emotion. Its terrazzo floor references displacement, and the gold-plated chain adds a sacred quality. The resulting experience is playful, humorous, entertaining, and melancholic at once.
