Pressure
This kinetic sculpture reflects overwhelming emotions and experiences of the artist’s generation. It uses two motors pressing against a plastic stress ball shaped like a brain. As the brain is pressed, the eyes pop out and stare directly at the viewer while it spins on its axis. The sculpture speaks to pressure and isolation in contemporary society as well as the artist’s own struggles.
